Happy Birthday Tata Madiba!

Today Cape Town Opera, Naspers, the Western Cape Government Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and Artscape celebrate the life of a man who touched hearts and minds around the world, our beloved Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

As we honour of one of the world’s most inspiring statesmen let us remember the words of our nation’s father and act on them, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what a difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Cape Town Opera’s Mandela Trilogy is a truly home-brewed production that highlights the unique and forceful sound of the African voice, and is most profound when the cast sing ‘The time has come for all men and women to say we are one country we are one, we are one!’

The award-winning Mandela Trilogy has toured to the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Ireland, the UAE and Hong Kong. This story of South Africa’s legendary leader is on stage at Artscape tonight, 18 July 2018 at 19:30. There are only a handful of tickets left and bookings can be made through Computicket.
