CTO Patrons keeps opera in SA flourishing

Cape Town Opera cherishes its relationship with its patrons and is grateful to those who support the company to keep opera flourishing in South Africa. Two such patrons are Gerda and Helmut Jung who have, once more, arranged fundraising concerts in Germany for CTO’s Young Artist Programme.

The CTO Young Artist Training Programme is aimed at training graduate singers with soloist potential. They are offered skills development training to prepare them for the demands of a professional career, as well as personal mentorship and expert artistic guidance. The current Young Artists are mezzo soprano Ané Pretorius, soprano Brittany Smith and tenor Lunga Hallam, who will be joined by guest artists baritone Mandisinde Mbuyazwe (a member of CTO’s 2016-17 Young Artist Programme) and soprano Hlengiwe Mkhwanazi. 20 September 2019 in the Germering City Hall in Germering (Munich); and
