“In this year when only a handful of live opera performances have taken place worldwide, I feel a special privilege to be able to share this funny, painful and profoundly humane opera with our public.
Its subject is the education of four young people into the fallacies of a superficial, romantic view of love.  It is about the heart, human strength and weakness, forgiveness and adulthood. And it is expressed through music which encapsulates the thoughts and emotions of the characters in as direct and miraculous a way as any music ever written.  I am confident that every listener will feel the profound beauty and richness of Mozart’s score in our performances, carefully crafted for the year 2020.” says Jeremy Silver, Conductor for this production of Così fan tutte.
With ticket sales at eighty percent sold we are certain that the remaining tickets will sell fast and the artists can enjoy full houses (within the boundaries of Alert Level 1 policies and protocols).

Così fan tutte is sponsored by the City of Cape Town, Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and the Rupert Music Foundation.
