Hailed by Gramophone Magazine as “one of the best of our younger baritones”, Berger takes the role of Carmen’s lover, the famous and flamboyant bullfighter Escamillo, in the forthcoming production of Carmen.

Berger has performed at renowned opera houses and festivals, including the English National Opera, Liceu Barcelona, Opera Vlaanderen, Opéra de Toulon, and the Lucerne, Aix-en-Provence and Edinburgh International Festivals.
Critics have been enthusiastic in their praise of Berger: “His tone is beautiful, his technique immaculate,” wrote The Guardian and The Arts Desk promises, “You’ll be beguiled by Berger’s voice”.
