Cape Town Opera is inviting singers with stage experience to submit recent video recordings, to be considered for the following roles in Porgy and Bess: 

1. Porgy
2. Bess
3. Crown
4. Clara
   
   

HOW TO APPLY

• Please note that the first round is strictly video submissions to be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday 20 March.
  No late applications will be accepted.

• Send a LANDSCAPE video of 1 opera aria. The audition aria may be from Porgy and Bess.

• No portrait videos will be accepted.

• Please ensure that you are in a quiet room.

• Backing tracks are permitted, however no a capella singing will be eligible.

• Please email your headshot and resume to info@capetownopera.co.za with the subject line “Porgy and Bess Audition”.

• If successful, you will receive a reply with your designated audition time and further instructions.

• For live auditions, prescribed music from Porgy and Bess will be required and scores will be supplied.
